We recently wrapped up CloudCon, our digital conference where product experts and customers shared their experiences transforming their supply chain to survive and thrive during the global pandemic. We were thrilled to hear from Abdullah Shaban and Mike Glaspey from Petco, who shared stories about how they rapidly updated roadmaps to accommodate the surge in online demand.

It’s an understatement to say that COVID-19 transformed how Petco does business. Foot traffic at stores disappeared overnight and online sales went through the roof. Petco worked closely with Blue Yonder to implement buy online and pick up in-store (BOPIS) across all of their locations in a matter of months. By leveraging Blue Yonder’s e-commerce fulfillment capabilities, Petco could successfully expose store inventory online, provide accurate commitments to customers, and use ship from store capabilities to meet the needs of customers.
