During 23 to 25 October, the Blue Yonder team had the pleasure of joining thousands of supply chain professionals at the newly rebranded BVL Supply Chain CX event in Berlin. As we exhibited here, as well as at the Düsseldorf Logistics Summit earlier this year, it was fascinating to see how each event brings its own unique energy to the table. In Berlin, we connected with a wide range of industry leaders, customers, and innovators all focused on a shared mission: evolving the future of supply chain management.

For those outside the supply chain world, logistics might seem as straightforward as transport and warehousing, a “commodity”. After all, we often see branded trucks on the Autobahn and massive warehouses near key traffic hubs. But beneath the surface lies a level of complexity few could imagine. Events like BVL Supply Chain CX showcase this complexity and innovation in full force, highlighting Logistics Service Providers, Manufacturers, and Retailers that are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with cutting-edge technology.

One standout moment from this year’s event was witnessing Denkinger’s award-winning « Rail Hub » approach — a testament to how operational excellence, combined with modern technology, can turn a vision into market differentiation and provide a family-owned company with the competitive edge it needs. Seeing the potential of unique logistics concepts like these reaffirms how technology-driven supply chains are no longer just an advantage but a necessity in today’s landscape.

Why Blue Yonder, and why now?

As we discussed with many visitors at our booth, today’s supply chain landscape is evolving beyond traditional, manual processes. For decades, we’ve worked to digitize and optimize highly specific use cases within the industry. But incremental improvements are no longer enough. The future of logistics calls for a larger perspective that connects not just business units but entire ecosystems, uniting departments, teams, and job roles to solve complex challenges holistically.

At this year’s BVL Supply Chain CX, nearly every booth promised AI-enabled solutions or claimed to solve specific industry pain points. But the question we encountered most frequently was, “What makes Blue Yonder different?

The answer is simple yet powerful: Blue Yonder doesn’t stop at isolated solutions. Our platform provides an End-to-End Supply Chain Platform with comprehensive, best-in-class capabilities across Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and beyond. This means we don’t just address single challenges; we’re empowering supply chains as cohesive, data-driven ecosystems. By seamlessly connecting data across all these functions, Blue Yonder enables transformative solutions through true interoperability.

Conversations that go beyond WMS

Throughout the event, our booth conversations continually moved beyond traditional topics, like our Warehouse Management System (WMS), into broader discussions about how the Blue Yonder platform integrates AI to enable smarter decision-making, improved operations, and seamless end-to-end supply chain visibility. It’s clear that supply chain professionals are searching for solutions that don’t just solve today’s challenges but anticipate tomorrow’s needs.

Looking forward

Participating in BVL Supply Chain CX was a great reminder of the resilience, innovation, and shared drive within our industry. At Blue Yonder, we’re not just talking about supply chain transformation — we’re leading it. Our platform unifies the end-to-end planning and execution capabilities that supply chains need to be agile, responsive, and resilient in an ever-evolving world.
