JDA Customer PVH Named a Top Innovator by Apparel Magazine
Each year, Apparel Magazine acknowledges apparel retailers, brands, and manufacturers that demonstrate innovation in the apparel supply chain. Nominations include revolutionary new products and designs, new strategies for marketing via social media, and new uses for RFID, PLM and sustainability. JDA is proud to recognize that PVH has been named one of Apparel Magazine’s 10th annual Top Innovator Award winners.
PVH Corp. (PVH) is a U.S.-based apparel company and is one of the largest global apparel companies, with $8.2 billion in 2016 revenues coming from a diversified portfolio of brands, including CALVIN KLEIN, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, and IZOD.
In nominating long-time customer PVH for this award, JDA illustrated their implementation in 2016 of JDA Enterprise Planning, JDA Assortment Planning, and JDA Channel Clustering as an example of “Innovation in Action,” helping PVH to better optimize sales in retail locations, improve productivity of its retail associates, and increase sell-throughs at retail. On the wholesale side, having a long-range forecast available at multiple levels gives PVH the ability to be more responsive and flexible with its orders.
JDA’s planning solutions have brought end-to-end visibility to PVH’s entire supply chain by aligning demand, fulfillment, and capacity planning. The company also reported greater collaboration across teams, better compliance to plan, and better decision making overall.
Per Ken Duane, CEO of PVH’s Heritage Brands and North America Wholesale, “We have moved the business forward significantly by introducing JDA tools that help us towards our goals of inventory optimization, sales growth and improved consumer satisfaction.”
As a strategic business partner, JDA contributes tangible benefits to PVH by way of supporting common planning processes across all business areas, improving collaboration between merchants, planners and allocation teams, delivering a common tool set and an enhanced reporting system, eliminating the need for multiple Excel worksheets, while driving supply chain efficiencies, reducing labor, and ultimately leading the way for future system integrations.
